Swami Kishor Shastri held for exploiting superstitious people

AKHIL Bharatiya Andha Shraddha Nirmulan Samiti (ABANS) activists exposed Swami Kishor Shastri, who claimed himself as the country’s famous astrologer, for exploiting superstitious citizens in the Second Capital. Sonegaon Police arrested Swami Kishor Shastri and one of his disciples Gulab Joshi after conducting a search operation in his room at Hotel Pride on Sunday. Two gold necklaces, rings, mangalsutras, lemons,“tabijs” (lockets), Rs 51,750/- cash, a cheque of Rs 20 lakh, and four cellphones were seized from Swami Shatri’s room.

After coming from Kashi, Swami Kishor Shastri was putting up in room No.110 at Hotel Pride on Wardha Road. Swami Shastri had given advertisements in local newspapers claiming that he can solve the problem of men and women by seeing their faces and photograph without horoscope.

It was also mentioned in the advertisement that he would give Positive results regarding personal problems, business, higher education, love, marriage, divorce, politics, remarriage etc. Names of the persons and their problems would be kept secret by him, the advertisement mentioned. After reading the advertisement, Vishnu Goenka, a prominent businessman from, Cotton Market area, approached Swami Shastri. Goenka was suffering from blood pressure and diabetes.

The agents of the Swami were taking Rs. 500/- each to allow them to meet him in his room. After Goenka told him his, problem, Swami Claimed that he was a devotee of goddess Durga and can treat him.

Swami told Goenka to bring Rs 26,700/- for performing the rituals, Goenka was asked to write his name on a lemon. Then his palm impression was taken on a piece of paper.

Swami then told Goenka that he would die within a month if the rituals were not performed by him. He then assured Goenka that he would give a “tabij”(locket) to him. Swami Shastri then took Rs 2000/- as advance from him.

Goenka came out of the room and immediately alerted ABANS activists Umesh Choube and Harish Deshmukh. Choube along with other activists including Uttam Sulke, Prakash Hargode, Sunil Wanjari and Duryodhan Nimbarte, took Goenka to the police.

On the basis of Goenka’s complaint,Police Inspector Ramchandra Katole, PSI Tukaram Koyande, V.M.Mahulkar, and ASI Dashrath conducted search at Swami Shastri’s room.

Cops arrested the self-styled God man Swami Shastri and his disciple Joshi.

An offence under Sections 4,5 and 7 of the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act, 1954 has been registered against them at Sonegaon Police Station.

Shame on you theSun for supporting scams! But then again, who wasn't being fooled by the MSM or Vincent Tan?

Woman gives birth to mutant baby in Malaysia

The news of an unusual alien-like baby born in China has received an intensive coverage in the media recently. Ms. Li Hui-Ying, a village from China’s Jiangxi Province, gave birth to a boy with frog’s eyes. The baby also had big bumps on his head and even a small tail on his bottom. The boy does not have any eating, drinking or sleeping disorders, but his parents still try to bring him to treat in the hospital. However, all the hospitals that the parents have been to so far refuse to accept the weird patient claiming that they have never had such an unusual incident in their experience.

Another shocking incident took place in Malaysia not so long ago. A woman gave birth to a baby with its eyes turned inside out. The baby has no ears and no nose, has hooves instead of hands. There can be no words found to describe the sufferings of the poor baby. Click here to see the video.

Such terrible abnormalities can be explained with the phenomenon known as Harlequin Ichthyosis. It is a skin disease, is the most severe form of congenital ichthyosis, characterized by a thickening of the keratin layer in fetal human skin. In sufferers of the disease, the skin contains massive, diamond-shaped scales, and tends to have a reddish color. In addition, the eyes, ears, mouth, and other appendages may be abnormally contracted. The scaly keratin greatly limits the child's movement. Because the skin is cracked where normal skin would fold, it is easily pregnable by bacteria and other contaminants, resulting in serious risk of fatal infection.

Sufferers are known as harlequin fetuses, harlequin babies, or harlequins.

The harlequin-type designation comes from both the baby's apparent facial expression and the diamond-shape of the scales (resembling the costume of Arlecchino), which are caused by severe hyperkeratosis. The disease can be diagnosed in the uterus by way of fetal skin biopsy or by morphologic analysis of amniotic fluid cells obtained by amniocentesis. In addition, doctors can now usually recognize common features of the disease through ultrasound, and follow up with 3D ultrasound to diagnose the condition.

In the past, the disorder was invariably fatal, whether due to dehydration, infection (sepsis), restricted breathing due to the plating, or other related causes. The most common cause of death was systemic infection and sufferers rarely survived for more than a few days. However, there have been improvements in care, most notably the drug Isotrex. Some patients have survived into adolescence and, in very rare cases, lived to adulthood
